Synopsis

There’s something wrong with Ari besides being 13 going on 18. For her, there’s no other explanation for the mistakes she makes and the price she pays for caring. Like her bio-parents giving her up for adoption, her relationship with her adopting parents getting worse as they head for divorce, her BFF’s betrayal, and becoming a magnet for bullies. Worst of all, her grandfather died, the one person she trusted would always be there for her. As though that’s not enough, God is no longer listening. But Ari has a plan to stop the pain, face the truth of her, and find where she belongs. Getting in the way is a priceless medallion and the worst mistake she ever made, one that will cost her grandmother her house and validate everyone’s hatred. The only chance she has to work her plan and escape the madness gives her only one day to find the medallion, undo the mistake, and stem the tide of guilt that threatens to wash her away. During that day of desperation, she learns something new about herself, the people around her, and God. Whether it’s enough to change her plan in time is the question.
